The Johnston County Wildlife Association is the oldest continuing wildlife club in the State of North Carolina and is affiliated with the North Carolina Wildlife Association. Members of the Association come from all over Johnston County and enjoy monthly meetings where we discuss and learn about wildlife in Johnston County and the surrounding areas. With access to a large pond (large enough for john boats, paddle boats, kayaks, and canoes), many of our members enjoy fishing for the large bass and crappie stocked in our pond.
The Johnston County Wildlife Association meets on the second Thursday of every month (except for July & August) at 7:00 p.m. at our clubhouse, located on Swift Creek Road just outside of Wilson's Mills (between 70 Bypass and 70 Business). We serve White Swan Chicken and ask that every attendee bring $5 for the cost of the food, along with a side dish, and a 2 liter drink or dessert. We have a presentation at each meeting where you will learn more about the wildlife in our area.
Even when that small fish steals the hook from the huge one, we still like to have fun. Come to our next meeting and join in!
